DIY EMBELLISHMENTS - FRINGE IT UP!

Hey girls, so this video has been on my to do list for a few months now. It all started earlier in the year when Maggie Holmes brought out these adorable fringed hearts in her Bloom collection.

They are absolutely divine!! I love them all and now looking at them, I think I need to replicate these colours and get as close to the originals as possible. For today however, I am going to show you the basics for creating these beautiful fringe hearts as well as extending the practice into fringe tags and a special fringed paper tassel.

This tutorial is great for using up those little bits and pieces in your stash that are just waiting around and not being used. So, I decided to break into the last pieces of my Felicity Jane Next Stop kit to create these beautiful embellishments!

The best thing about this tutorial is that you can adapt this technique to basically any shape idea you have. For this video, I have decided to decorate some tags for Happy Mail letters with full fringes. I always tend to start off with light colours and work up in an ombre kind of approach. Sometimes (who is kidding, almost always) I add in a piece of gold glitter fringe to just make them that little bit more special.

These tags were the perfect thing to use up those super cute embellishments from the Next Stop kit that I just couldnt make work on a layout. Big statement shapes like Flamingos, Pineapples and the like just never seem to work for me on my layouts. I love using them in my happy mail and now on these super pretty tags!

Now onto these adorable paper fringe tassels. These are so super easy to make and will look absolutely adorable on your Happy Mail projects! I have actually used one today on a Happy Mail project that will go live on the blog on Thursday! I cant wait to share it with you all!

Now that you have seen all of the goodies that I have made, grab a coffee and sit back and listen to 20 minutes of me talking about fringes, tags and tassels! Doesn't that sound like the  most perfect Tuesday morning?

LOL, enjoy guys and don't forget to link me up with anything you create from my tutorials! I would love to see what you all create.

Love you guys,
