SOMETHING A LITTLE EXPLOSIVE!

Hey Lovelies, I am back again today for yet another little surprise post for you all..

My beautiful friend Tori Bissell has teamed up with the lovely Theresa and they are releasing their first ever digital release!! How super exciting is that!! I love creating digital content and when I was asked to design for their first ever collection, well, how could I refuse!!

You can jump over to the website and secure your own beautiful collection of Quilted Hearts. The collection is so bright and colourful and absolutely charming.. I love all the different patterns and designs and they really give you that "quilted" look. Absolutely adorable.

As part of the release today, the girls are doing  a little blog hop around to all the design team members that designed for this project. So make sure you jump around to all the different girls blogs and send them some love.

Now onto my pretties that I created for this beautiful collection!! I decided that with all these stunning bright papers, they deserved to be on birthday cards and share the love around.. So I decided to play with a few cut files and create some pretty pattern pieced "quilted" cards.

The first of my cards is this cute little postcard style cupcake card. I purchased all my cut files in the Silhouette Store. Once the cupcake was cut out, I started piecing behind the patterned papers I thought would look extra sweet on the cupcake. After adhering all of those papers on the back I added another piece of white card stock to hide the messiness.

I decided then that the card was just a little bit plain so I decided to add in some sparkling lights with that beautiful geometric lemon paper. I cut out the diamonds and stuck them around the page with a few gem stones and glitter dots. To finish the look I hand stitched some beautiful light yellow dangles to hold onto the light.. Totally channeling a little bit of my inner Elsie here.

My second card was a little bit more detailed and really had that lovely stained glass look to it. My Cameo did all the work cutting it out but when I backed this floral patterned paper behind the cut file, it just screamed stained glass. I absolutely love the effect and added some clear gems to the flourishes to add in that extra glam feel.

I also cut out three hearts. Two out of the pink gingham patterned paper and one out of some gold printed vellum I had in my stash. I layered them all up and then glued them down the middle and fluffed them out to give them some more dimension.

VIDEO COMING SOON

So that is it lovelies!! I would love it if you could go over to the Scrap Explosions website and show these ladies some love! They have worked so hard on their first ever release and have done such an amazing job!! Don't forget to go check out the other ladies as well and I will be back super soon with another process video.

HND MOODBOARD LAYOUT - PROCESS VIDEO

Hey Lovelies, You know that beautiful mood board I showed you today? Well guess what! I have a BONUS video for you!! I have created a layout with my beautiful kit that coordinates perfectly with the mood board and I cant wait to share it with you.

For my first layout of 2017, I wanted to make a really girly, frilly and flowery layout. I agonised over what photo I could use that would really let this beautiful mood board shine, and it wasn't until I remembered a photo shoot my sister in law and her family did that I knew exactly what photo I wanted to use.

Tip for the day: don't be afraid to ask other people to use their photos. If it is of someone important in your life, it is worth capturing and using in your layouts. Who cares if you didn't take the photo.. It still tells a story.

This photo of my beautiful little niece Beth is just so sweet and special to my heart. I so desperately want a little girl and whenever I get the chance to buy presents, I always go to the stores and pick out the most frilly, lacy, pink girly outfits I can find for her. This dress here is one Aunty Nae picked out... I know it sounds bad, but I want kids so I can clothe them and scrapbook them.. (ps, I also want to love them like nothing else I have ever loved in this world).

The first layout using the new kit and I have busted almost each and every floral from the Maggie Holmes Open Book florals I had left. I don't mind though, they look beautiful mixed in with those Take Me Away - gold foil puffy stickers and the Maggie Holmes Gather - wreath sticker. Watch the video below to see just how I customised these stickers to suit my layout!

Oh oh oh, I forgot to mention the best part again, the cut file in the background... You all know how much I love white on white on white... Well, this cut file is from The Cut Shoppe and is one of their older floral designs. It is just so beautiful I couldn't use just one, I had to flip it and reverse it!! Love the mirrored image look in the background.

So the last little surprise I want to add in today is that I will be giving a prize away at the end of the month to one lucky girlie who participates in the HND MOODBOARD CHALLENGE! You must be a member of the HND Creatives group to take part but every month I will be giving one lucky participant a happy mail with some pretty goodies and a little letter too!!

I do hope you will join us over on the group and have some fun playing with the mood board challenge. See you all super soon with another fun layout!!

Love you guys,

JANUARY HND MOODBOARD AND FREE PRINTABLES

Better late than never right? Oh my goodness this week has just been chaotic... The first week of 2017 hasn't been very kind to me at all. The good news is that I have a little colour and inspiration to brighten not only my week but yours as well!!

The first HND MOOD BOARD for the year has been released and I am so so so excited to share it with you. Not only is there a mood board to inspire you for January, I have also created some freebie printables.. Both the mood board and printables are available on the HND CREATIVES Facebook group so be sure to jump over there and join in all the fun!

Here is a little sample of the first freebie printables that are available on the HND CREATIVES group. They are really cute with all their pretty pastel corals, browns and that stunning champagne gold sparkle. So so pretty!!

I also created a cute little kit for this mood board and I will be using it quite a bit. I want to try and use up all my old stash and make room for new lovelies so creating mood boards and busting stashes sound like a good combination. Don't forget to check out the video above to see what I have included in my kit.

If you join up to the Creatives group, I would love to see what you create with the printables and mood boards. Don't forget to jump over to facebook and say HI!

HEYNAEDAILY - HELLO 2017

Hey Lovelies, I don't know about you, but 2016 was just horrid. I mean, I don't think I have ever had this feeling about a year. There has always been something positive to liven up the year but 2016 was just the year that dragged on with one stressful situation after another.

Let's just say I am so excited that 2017 is here!

So lets start 2017 off with a bang! A great sparkly positive vibe! I am so excited to expand HND and make it a focus in my life. I am sure you have noticed all the rebranding that has been happening here on the blog and also over on the youtube channel and the Facebook group! I am loving the new look and cant wait to share more exciting pieces of this new 2017 style with you all.

HND 2017 Shout it out!!

The video and blogging days will remain the same for 2017. I feel that the TTSS system really works for me and gives you guys an extra dose of HND on the weekends!! I am sure there will be times where I post more than these days, this will include my creative team commitments but be sure to expect videos every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Something I tried to implement last year but didn't follow through with properly were the HND Freebies each month! The first week of every month I will be delivering a mood board, a sketch, a collection of cut files as well as a sheet of printables. These will be free to all HND Creatives members so be sure to join the HND Creatives group so you don't miss out!

Ill be back very shortly with a few more videos. I have a few bits and pieces I want to share from 2016, as well as some fun new videos for 2017!! Thank you so much for all your love and support over the past few years and I just cant wait to see what 2017 has in store for each and every one of us.

Love you guys!!
